Our annual company meeting took place this week with a company update from our Managing Director, Alistair Dyson, confirming the healthy position of the business and thanking everyone for their continued hard work.
Further presentations followed from our Directors – Andrew Robinson, Emma Taylor, Michael Brown and Paul Tyrer, which included the results of our recent staff survey and look ahead at the next 12 months. Representatives of our operational, business development, finance and health and safety teams also provided the company with an insight into their teams, recent/current successful projects, and future targets.
Guest motivational speaker Luke Ambler provided us with a down-to-earth perspective of “asking better questions to get better answers”. His ‘What’s next?’ theory gave us all something to think about.
An afternoon team building exercise challenged our staff to build a 40cm high structure with design flare that could protect an egg from being crushed using only cardboard, straws, Sellotape, and paper clips?! The winning team (pictured) were rewarded with £20 shopping vouchers.
The day ended with a presentation ceremony celebrating our staff promotions and achievements over the last 12 months.
