Following a robust tender process by London Borough of Brent , through the Fusion21 framework, Michael Dyson Associates Ltd was appointed in November 2023 to provide muti-disciplinary technical consultancy services to deliver the Granville Homes refurbishment project. The scheme will include external refurbishment and fire safety works to 110 residential flats contained in 8 blocks, ranging from 2-storeys to 7-storeys in height. Our service provision includes lead consultant (Employers Agent, Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration), Lead Designer (Architect and Structural Engineering), CDM Principal Designer and Building Regs Principal Designer through RIBA stages 1-6.
Since our appointment, there has been lots of work going on in the background, including production of concept designs, collating planning application documentation and facilitating various market engagement sessions and resident consultation events. We recognise the importance of resident consultation in schemes of this nature, ensuring the residents and stakeholders are updated regularly on the progress of the project and invited to participate in consultation from pre-contract through to handover. Our recent resident consultation event allowed residents to view the proposed designs alongside samples of bricks, EWI system, window frames and rainwater goods. Feedback gathered was discussed with the design team and has been considered within the planning application which will be submitted later this month. The Contractor procurement process is expected to commence in early Autumn.
